On Thursday 3rd July, parents and carers had the opportunity to attend a communication coffee morning led by speech and language therapist, David Gripton.
On Friday 13th June, we had the pleasure of visiting Forge Mill Farm for the Farming Fortnight for Schools event. All of our learners did fantastically well and represented MEA brilliantly — they truly made us proud!
On Friday 23rd May 2025 Mary Elliot Academy hosted a very special Enterprise Day, where all students engaged with multiple employers to work on Enterprise Activities.
Post 16 - offsite activity in Cannock – Gymnastics!
Students from Post 16 classes 6F3 and 6F4 have been trialling a new offsite activity in Cannock – Gymnastics! We have hired Birches Valley Gymnastics Club for our exclusive use every Thursday morning.
This term, within ‘My Story’, the PMLD department have been participating in Sensory Stories with our Key Stage four classes currently exploring ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’.
The students in the Nile class have been showcasing incredible growth in their independence and community participation through their visits to the Academy flat.
We had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day at Mary Elliot Academy! It was wonderful to see both students and staff embracing the spirit of the day, dressed up as their favourite book characters or in their onesies and pyjamas, ready to snuggle up with a good book.
